Questions, a wrong rating, or a town we're missing? Email christophersonwineandco@gmail.com and we'll get back to you.

Where do the safety ratings come from?

From each country's official drinking water reports: South Africa's Blue Drop report, the US Environmental Protection Agency, Ofwat and the UK water regulators, France's Ministry of Health, Italy's Istituto Superiore di Sanità, Germany's Umweltbundesamt, Spain's SINAC, Portugal's ERSAR, Australia's Bureau of Meteorology, Ontario's Ministry of the Environment, Colombia's Instituto Nacional de Salud, Argentina's ERAS and Mendoza's AySAM. We only use official data for each place; we don't estimate. Country-level figures come from the WHO/UNICEF Joint Monitoring Programme. Each place shows its source and the period it covers.

What do the colours mean?

Low risk means the water met the standards. Medium means some tests failed or there is less information. High and Critical mean many tests failed: check local advice and consider bottled or boiled water.

Who writes the taste ratings?

People who drank the water. Anyone can rate a place without an account. Ratings are anonymous.

How do I delete my account?

Open Account in the app, then tap Delete my account. Everything saved with your account is deleted straight away. See the privacy policy for more.

Near me doesn't work

Check that location services are on, and that Tap-That is allowed to use your location (on iPhone: Settings > Tap-That > Location). Near me works in countries that have town-by-town ratings.
